Massive Drop in Solar Battery Prices in Pakistan

Good news for people in Pakistan who want to use solar energy! The prices of solar batteries have dropped a lot, making it easier for families and businesses to switch to clean energy.

Now, lithium batteries cost Rs. 380,000, which is less than the old price of Rs. 400,000. Tubular batteries are even cheaper, now priced at Rs. 55,000, compared to Rs. 70,000 before. Solar panels are also more affordable, with the price per watt now at just Rs. 28—the lowest it has ever been!

Experts believe that prices might drop even more. As inflation goes down and more people buy solar products, costs are expected to get cheaper. Pakistan’s Federal Minister, Owais Laghari, shared that the country imported 8,000 megawatts of solar panels last year. This has encouraged local factories to start making solar products, which could make prices even better.
