Sanam Javed Khan, a notable political figure associated with PTI, has recently addressed rumors about her alleged monthly income of 70 lakhs. This speculation created quite a buzz on social media, prompting her to clarify the situation in a candid discussion.

What Did She Say?

Sanam explained that the figure being circulated isn't her personal income. She revealed that her father, who is a branch head at an insurance company and a shareholder, has allocated shares in her and her siblings' names. These earnings are often perceived as her own, but in reality, they belong to the family collectively.

She emphasized, "I am a taxpayer, and everything under my name is accounted for. During my disqualification case, every asset under my name was double-checked by the Supreme Court. Despite intense scrutiny, I was deemed eligible to contest elections."

The Disqualification Case and Supreme Court Verdict

Sanam highlighted how her disqualification case was taken to the Supreme Court, where even unrelated properties were investigated. She humorously remarked, “Some plots they brought up weren’t even mine! I joked, ‘Please tell me where these are so I can at least claim them.’”

She believes this thorough investigation and clearance should assure everyone of her financial transparency.

Challenges in Jail and Meeting Imran Khan

Sanam also shared her experiences during her time in jail. Despite multiple attempts, she was denied meetings with Imran Khan, even when court permissions were granted. She described the situation in jail as "unfair and chaotic," with lawyers and visitors facing restrictions.

Regarding her earlier meeting with Khan during a question-answer session in Lahore, she admitted being star-struck. “When my turn came, I couldn’t even ask a question. I just froze,” she laughed.

Her Views on Forgiveness and Leadership

Sanam shared her thoughts on Imran Khan’s forgiving nature. “Even after an assassination attempt, Khan Sahab talked about forgiving his enemies. But now, he’s clear that those harming the people will not be forgiven.”

She acknowledged past controversies during PTI's tenure but defended the party’s overall intent and leadership.
